Genovea Johnson (6-14 FG, 7-10 FT, 1-1 3PT) finished the day with 20 points and Mcwain (5-11 FG, 5-10 3PT) added 15 points.
- Aleighyah Fontenot (3-6 FG, 3-4 3PT) and Tyeniesha Metcalf (4-8 FG, 1-2 3PT) chipped in nine points each on the day for the Jags.
- Seven Jaguars scored in the contest.
- JSU shot 21-of-52 from the field (40.4 percent) and 3-of-9 from 3PT (33.3 percent).
- Southern pulled down 35 rebounds, including 23 on the defensive side of the glass.
