Southern Blows Past Bethune-Cookman On The Road

 HOW IT HAPPENED INSIDE THE NUMBERS
- Jaguars went 22-of-46 shooting from the field (47.8 percent) and 6-of-9 from 3PT (66.7 percent).
- SU was led by Mcwain (3-3 FG, 3-3 3PT, 4-4 FT) finished with 13 points and eight rebounds on the day. 
-  Genovea Johnson (4-13 Ft, 0-1 3PT) added 8 points off 13 minutes of play and Taylor Williams (3-5 FG), Chloe Fleming (2-6 FG, 2-2 FT), Xyllize Harrison (3-5 FG), Tyeniesha Metcalf (2-5 FG, 1-1 3PT, 1-1 FT) chipped in six points each for the Jags.
- Nine Jaguars scored in the contest.
- BCU shot 12-of-49 from the field (24.5 percent) and 5-of-17 from 3PT (29.74 percent). 
- Southern pulled down 41rebounds, including 32 on the defensive side of the glass.
- The Lady Wildcats registered 23 rebounds, with 12 coming on the defensive end. 
- The Jaguars also went 8-for-9 from the free-throw line.
- The Lady Wildcats sank 11-of-24 from the charity stripe.
- Southern University finished the night with six steals and eleven assists. Tyeniesha Metcalf led the Jags with four assists on the night.
- Bethune-Cookman University came away with nine steals and seven assists.

Southern will be back in action on Monday, February 25th to close out their Florida swing in Tallahassee, FL as they face Florida A&M. Tip off for Monday night will be at 5:30 PM.
