Southern Sweeps Grambling With 54-50 Victory On The Road

 HOW IT HAPPENED INSIDE THE NUMBERS
- Jaguars went 23-of-49 shooting from the field (46.6 percent) and 4-of-9 from 3PT (44.4 percent).
- SU was led by Raven White (7-10 FG, 1-1 FT) finished with 15 points on the day. 
-  Aleighyah Fontenot (4-8 Ft, 3-5 3PT) added 12 points off 26 minutes of play and Genovea Johnson (4-9 FG, 1-2 FT) chipped in nine points on the day for the Jags.
- Seven Jaguars scored in the contest.
- GSU shot 19-of-50 from the field (38.5 percent) and 2-of-12 from 3PT (16.7 percent). 
- Southern pulled down 31rebounds, including 21 on the defensive side of the glass.
- The Lady Tigers registered 27 rebounds, with 17 coming on the defensive end. 
- The Jaguars also went 4-for-9 from the free-throw line.
- The Lady Tigers sank 10-of-18 from the charity stripe.
- Southern University finished the night with four steals and twelve assists. Tyeniesha Metcalf led the Jags with four assists on the night.
- Grambling State University came away with four steals and eight assists.

Southern will travel to Florida to take on Bethune-Cookman on Saturday, February 25th before closing out their Florida swing in Tallahassee, FL as they face Florida A&M on Monday night. Tip off for Saturday's game will be 3PM and Monday night at 5:30 PM.
