Lewis earns First-Team All-Conference honors, Lady Jaguars eighth

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. | Camille Lewis earned first team All-Conference honors at the Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) Cross Country Championships with a fourth-place finish to help the Lady Jaguars finish eighth overall on Monday morning.

Lewis ran a time of 19:55.4, finishing just in front of Teresa Gallegos of Alcorn State. She finished just behind Shamia Jones of Alabama State (19:54.3), Rebecca Bernardin of Alabama State (19:51.9) and Stellah Kiptui of Alcorn State (18:22.9).

Taylor Williams finished 33rd overall with a time of 21:49.1, meanwhile, Shani Simon finished 36th overall with a time of 21:55.5, followed by Destiny Mitchell with a time of 24:01.9. Kashi Roberts crossed with a time of 24:30.2 and Sierra Session finished with a time of 24:45.2.

Southern finished eighth overall with 184 points, finishing just behind Texas Southern, Prairie View, Alcorn State, UAPB in fourth and Alabama A&M in third. Alabama State finished second, just behind eventual champion Florida A&M.
