The Lady Jaguars defense forced the Lady Rattlers to 21 turnovers, picking up 23 points off turnovers. SU played eleven players with nine landing in the scoring column. Southern shot 43 percent for the game (26-60) and shot 43 percent from behind the arc (6-14). SU shot 56 percent from the charity stripe finishing (9-16).

Nigeria Jones led the lady Bulldogs with 28 points in her final home game of her career dominating in both overtimes. Senior Dariiauna Lewis finished her career with a double-double, 19 points and 11 rebounds. Jada Clowers added eight points and a game-high 17 points.

Southern will travel to Birmingham, AL to get reeady for the Cricket Wireless SWAC Basketball Tournament starting on March 9th through March 12th. The winner of the SWAC tournament will punch the ticket to the 2022 NCAA Tournament.
