The Jaguars picked up seven runs off a game-high eleven hits on the day. In the second inning AJ Walter picked up two RBI's hitting a line drive right between the second base and short stop, sending Michael Latulas and Taj Porter home to give the Jags an early 2-1 leads over the Cowboys. In the third inning hits a sac-fly to center field to send JJ Rollon home to give SU a 3-1 lead. In the fifth inning Jovante Dorris scores off a wild pitch. Quincy Smith II and O'Neill Burgos picked up two more runs for the Jaguars giving the a 6-5 lead after thr top half of the fifth inning, In the sixth inning Dorris hits a doubled to the center field wall sending Latulas home for the Jags seventh and final run of the day. 

"Late innings walks got us tonight. Late in games have to know situations and pound the strike zone. Other then that we did a lot of good things tonight an hopefully it will carry over to the weekend, said Chris Crenshaw, Southern Head Coach."

DeOnte' Dotson picks up his first loss of the season. The Jaguars scoring came from Burgos with three runs, Smith II and Rollon with two runs each. Dorris, Spears, Porter and Latulas with one run each. 

SU is 6-18 on the season.

Southern will be back in action on this weekend to take on Texas Southern Tigers in a three game series. First game will be Friday night inside Lee - Hines Stadium live on Jaguar Sports Network. First pitch is slated for 6 PM.
