Southern To Face Jackson State In SWAC Championship Game

The 2022 Cricket Southwestern Athletic Conference Football Championship Game matchup is set as the SWAC Western Division Champion Southern Jaguars will face the Eastern Division Champion Jackson State Tigers next Saturday, Dec. 3, at 3:00 p.m. at Mississippi Veterans Memorial Stadium. The game will be televised on ESPN2.

This will be the second time the Jaguars (7-4) and Tigers will meet this season, with Jackson State winning 35-0 on October 29. The winner of the Southwestern Athletic Conference Championship will earn the league's bid to the Celebration Bowl in Atlanta, GA on December 17.

Southern has claimed eight SWAC Western Division Championships and is making its 8th appearance in the SWAC Football Championship game.
