Late Goal Lifts Jaguars to Win Over Prairie View, 2-1

PRAIRIE VIEW, TX – Lonnie Mulligan scored her 12th goal of the season in the 89th minute to give the Lady Jaguars the 2-1 victory over Prairie View A&M, Sunday afternoon. Southern (7-8-2, 4-3-1) has their most conference wins since 2014.
 
HOW IT HAPPENED
  • The teams would battle it out in the first half with the Lady Jaguars holding a slight advantage on shots at 4-3.
  • Just over two minutes into the second half, Kyra Reeves would give Southern the lead off a pass from Kirstyn Hale.
  • The Lady Panthers would tie it up in the 71st minute by Kamara Bradley.
  • Southern would put the pressure on the rest of the match, and with just over a minute left in the game, Mulligan would find the back of the net to give the Lady Jaguars the win.
