NEW ORLEANS, LA – The Southern University Jaguars (4-6, 3-4) play Grambling State University (3-7, 2-5) in the 48
th Annual Bayou Classic on Saturday, November 27th at Caesars Superdome in New Orleans, LA., kick set for 4:00 p.m.
The game will be broadcasted live on NBC Sports. Grambling leads with 31-30 advantage in the series with SU, which dates back to November 30, 1929. In the last meeting the Jaguars came away with the 49-7 victory on April 17, 2021.

Bayou Classic
The Bayou Classic is the annual college football game between the Southern University Jaguars and the Grambling State Tigers, first held under that name in 1974 at Tulane Stadium in New Orleans, although the series itself actually began in 1932. Since 1990 the game has been held the final Saturday in November at Caesars Superdome.
The Bayou Classic has proven to be a steadfast beacon of legacy and tradition that extends beyond the HBCU community. Fans from across the nation journey to witness the electrifying football game between Southern and Grambling, while eagerly awaiting the highly anticipated halftime show featuring two of the greatest marching bands in the nation.

The Jaguars are averaging 193.50 yards per game on the ground so far this season which gives the Jags the number one rushing offense in the SWAC. SU is led in rushing by
Kobe Dillon who is averaging 78.63 yards per game on a total of 79 carries.
Devon Benn is second on the team in rushing averaging 51.1 yards a game.

Jordan Lewis continues his pursuit to leave his name in the national record books for total sacks. He now has 34 sacks along with being the FCS leader in sacks per game (0.92).
