We didn't shoot the ball particularly well but we knocked down some big shots late in the fourth quarter. It's always tough playing on the road and takes a total team effort to win. Overall it was a great team win and we will start preparing for our next game vs Grambling on Saturday", said Carlos Funchess, SU Women's Basketball Head Coach.

The Lady Jaguars defense forced the Lady Braves to 22 turnovers picking up 15 points off the turnovers. SU played all ten players that dressed out, with nine landing in the scoring column. Southern shot 29 percent for the game (20-68) and shot 12 percent from behind the arc (2-16). SU shot 79 percent from the charity stripe finishing (15-19).
