BATON ROUGE, LA -- The Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) Commissioner's Honor Roll was announced on Tuesday, which is based on the percentage of student-athletes with a 3.0 grade point average or better.
A total of 140 SU student-athletes made the 2019-20 SWAC Commissioner's Honor Roll, with all Jaguars Athletics team represented. Led by Football with 35, Women's Track and Field/Cross Country 18 (over 50% of the team), Baseball 16, Softball 15 (over 70% of the team), Soccer 13 (over 50% of the team), Volleyball 11 (over 70% of the team), Men's Basketball 8 (over 50% of the team), Men's Track and Field/Cross Country 8, Women's Basketball 6, Bowling 6 (over 90% of the team) and Tennis 3 (over 50% of the team). 
"Im so proud of our student-athletes," said Director of Athletics 
Roman Banks. "Our student-athletes have faced a lot of adversity and challenges especially during these unprecedented times and have not only stayed focused but committed to their work in the classroom and on the playing surface with all the circumstances they faced shows a lot about their character."
