MONTGOMERY, AL. -- Southern dominates Alabama State from start to finish on the road Saturday night 61-51 led by freshman
Raven White at the Dunn-Oliver Acadome on the campus of Alabama State University.
White led the Lady Jaguars with 12 points and four rebounds all in 31 minutes of play.
Alyric Scott and
Caitlin Davis finished the night with nine points each. Davis had a game-high six assists while Scott and
Taneara Moore finished with a game-high six rebounds each.
The Jaguars defense forced the Lady Hornets to 21 turnovers picking up 24 points off the turnovers. SU played all ten players with all ten landing in the scoring column. Southern shot 44 percent for the game (16-36) and 60 percent from behind the arc (3-5). SU shot 65 percent from the charity stripe finishing (26-40).
