FAYETTEVILLE, ARKANSAS -- A red-hot Arkansas team made 11 shots from 3-point range and shot 44.8 percent from the field overall, as the Razorbacks defeated Southern 79-44 on Wednesday night at Bud Walton Arena.
Junior guard
Jayden Saddler lead the Jaguars with nine points and six rebounds, including 4-of-8 shooting from field goal range.
Southern (0-3) cold shooting night woes doomed the Jaguars early as they shot 18-of-63 from the field (28.6 percent), 7.7 percent from 3-point range and a 70 percent from the free throw line.
Arkansas (5-0) opened up the game on a 6-0 run as they took a commanding lead and held on to it.
Andre Allen layup with 9:51 cut into the lead 23-13, but was as close as SU would get. Southern went into halftime trailing 42-20.
The Razorbacks had six players in double figure scoring lead by Davonte Davis with 14 points.

Southern will head to Birmingham, AL as the Jaguars take on UAB on Wednesday, Dec. 16 at 6:30 p.m. central time. The game will be streamed on Conference USA TV.
