WACO, TEXAS --Â Southern drops their fourth straight game on the road at the Farrell Center on the campus of Baylor University Wednesday afternoon. The final score was 86-52 in front of 2,034 fans.
Junior guard
Tyeniesha Metcalf led the Jaguars in scoring with ten points in twenty-four minutes of play.Â
Raven White chipped in nine points with five rebounds in a game-high thirty-one minutes of play. Chloe Fleming added eight points shooting sixty percent from the charity stripe.
Jordan Aikens hit two three-point baskets late in the third quarter to close out the quarter on an 11-3 run over the  Lady Bears. Aikens finished the night with six points and two rebounds in her debut in a Jaguar uniform.

"I thought that we came out in the first quarter with great energy on both sides of the basketball. In the second quarter, their length and size gave us a lot of problems on the offensive boards. In the third and fourth quarters, we did a better job on the boards and we will continue to improve in that area. We have a quick turnaround playing Mississippi State on Friday another top 15 team in the country so it's back to work tomorrow", said Head Coach Carlos Funchess.
The Lady Jaguars defense forced the Lady Bears to 18 turnovers, picking up 14 points off turnovers. SU played all eleven players with eight landing in the scoring column. Southern shot 39 percent for the game (18-46) and 29 percent from behind the arc (5-17). SU shot 61 percent from the charity stripe finishing (11-18).
Baylor was led by NaLyssa Smith with a game-high 16 points and eight rebounds. Queen Egbo finished the night with 15 points and a game-high eleven rebounds along with Trinity Oliver adding 12 points and five boards for the Lady Bears.Â

The Lady Jaguars will then travel to Mississippi on December 18, and will close out the non-conference schedule in Lubbock, Texas against Texas Tech on December 21. SU will enjoy the Christmas break and get back to action in the new year on January 2 as the go to battle against Prairie View A&M  Â
