BATON ROUGE, LA -- The Lady Jaguars jumped out to a fast start in the first half and never looked back, as they go on to dominate the Lady Hornets 69-47 Saturday night at the F. G. Clark Activity Center. 

Senior guard Brittany Rose led the way shooting seventy-five percent from three point range. Finishing the night with 18 points and three steals all in twenty-four minutes of play. Jaden Towner chipped in 10 points and three rebounds. Freshmen Chloe Fleming and Genovea Johnson added nine points each. Johnson finished the night with a team-high four assists and four rebounds. Alyric Scott added eight points and five rebounds. Sophomore forward Taneara Moore had a game-high six rebounds. 

The Jaguars defense forced the Lady Hornets to 24 turnovers picking up 32 points off the turnovers. SU played all thirteen players with eleven landing in the scoring column. Southern shot 43 percent for the game (24-55) and 33 percent from behind the arc (6-18). SU shot 68 percent from the charity stripe finishing (15-22).

Southern's record is 7-11, 5-2 SWAC
