PINE BLUFF, AR -- Southern picks up its second straight SWAC conference win as the Jaguars run past the Lions Saturday night 75-56 at the H.O. Clemmons Arena on the campus of UAPB. 

Junior Ahsante Shivers led SU with a game high 18 points. Freshman Damiree Burns added 16 points and four rebounds off the bench. Graduate transfer Micah Bradford finished the night with 11 points and a game-high four assists. Senior Center Amel Kuljuhovic led all rebounders with 13 and finished with eight points. Junior Lamarucs Lee contributed eight points, game high seven steals and six rebounds.  

All nine Jaguars that played in the contest, landed in the scoring column. Southern went into the locker room leading 37-24. SU shot 50 percent for the game (26-for-52) and 40 percent from three-point range (4-10). The Jaguars shot 58 percent from the free-throw line (19-33). 

Southern is 5-13, 2-3 SWAC

Due to the observance of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day the game will be played at 4:00 PM in Itta Bena, Mississippi in the Robert W. Harrison Complex on the campus of Mississippi Valley State University on Monday, January 20.
