Funeral services for former volunteer team psychologist Dr. Deborah fountain will be held Wednesday in Richmond, Virginia.

Mimms Funeral Service, Inc. will serve as the officiant for Dr. Felton's funeral arrangements and services begin at 11 a.m.

A memorial fund in Dr. Fountains honor has been created through the Southern University System Foundation and all proceeds will go to the Fountain Family. 

Since 2013, Dr. Fountain worked exclusively with the SU football program as a team therapist conducting various team and individual sessions. She was a fixture on team road trips and on the Jaguars sideline.

She was 63.

Prior to her death, Fountaine was enrolled at Southern University, working to obtain her second doctorate degree in the Nelson Mandela School of Public Policy.

Fountain, a native of Richmond, Va., is survived by her brother, Alan and is a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, incorporated.
