MIAMI -- When Southern head coach Sandy Pugh called a timeout 29 seconds into her team's game against the University of Miami women's basketball team on Monday, it was an early indication of how the night would go for the visiting Jaguars.

Morgan Stroman scored 20 points with 13 rebounds and Riquna Williams added 19 points to lead Miami to a 85-36 women's college basketball victory Monday night at BankUnited Center.

Shenise Johnson added 16 points and nine rebounds as the Hurricanes (6-1) took a 38-14 lead and never let up the pressure in the second half.

Hannah Kador paced Southern (2-3) with 13 points and six rebounds, but had seven of the Jaguars' 30 turnovers. Laneisha Stephens added eight points and seven rebounds.

Southern shot just 24% from the floor and were outrebounded 46-32. Southern U. also committed a season high 30 turnovers. Miami scored 31 points off of Jaguar turnovers.
