SOUTHERN DEFENSIVE BACK AHMAD TREAUDO IS "STILL PICKING OFF" POSTSEASON HONORS

ROUGE, La. -- After leading Division I-AA with nine
interceptions, the Jaguars senior was named to The Associated Press All-America
first team & the American Football Coaches Association (AFCA) All-America
first team on Wednesday.
Treaudo, who had the most
interceptions (9) for Southern since Aeneas Williams (St. Louis Rams) tied the
Southwestern Athletic Conference with 11 in 1991. Treaudo has also been tabbed as a first teamer
on the Walter Camp Football Foundation All-American Team,,
was earlier named to the second team of the Sports Network I-AA All-America
team, first-team All-SWAC and second team of the All-Louisiana Team.
The
6-foot, 180-pound senior from New Orleans, started the year as a backup, where he
played sparingly last season, but ended up with 166 yards and a touchdown on
interception returns.
