2021 (Spring) Season
Threw for 529 yards and three touchdowns, completing 37 of 65 attempts… Skelton was named to the Spring 2021 Preseason All-SWAC Second Team…placed first on the team in rushing with 370 yards and four rushing scores… against Texas Southern, Skelton accounted for 245 yards and three touchdowns, which also was his season high in completions(11)… Skelton was the third leading rusher in the conference with 370 yards on the ground on 52 touches… Averaged over 70 yards on the ground in four of the five games played… Helped guide SU to Back to Back to Back Bayou Classic wins over Grambling State.
2019 Season
Threw for 1,642 yards and 12 touchdowns, completing 153 of 251 passing attempts … placed first on the Jaguars with 1078 yards on the ground and 14 rushing scores ... On Homecoming Skelton accounted for 436 yards and four touchdowns. Skelton hit Hunter Register in the back of the endzone with 28 seconds on the clock for the game-winning touchdown ... Skelton was 16-of-25 passing for a season-high and career-high's 198 yards and two touchdowns along with 34 carries for 238 yards and two more scores for the Jaguars. which earned him BOXTOROW National Player of the Week honors, SWAC Player of the Week honors and STATS FCS National Offensive Player of the Week honors ... Recorded nine games with over 100 yards passing on the season and four games with over 75 yards rushing ... Registered five games on the season with multiple touchdown passes or rushing touchdowns ... 2018 Season
Played in all 11 games while starting the final six contests ... threw for 997 yards and 10 touchdowns, completing 60 of 115 passing attempts with 2 interceptions … placed second on the Jaguars with 647 yards on the ground and eight rushing scores ... made his first Division 1 career start against Prairie View A&M where he amassed 370 yards of total offense and four total touchdowns which earned him BOXTOROW National Player of the Week honors ... Season-best 202 rushing yards and 3 touchdowns vs Prairie View A&M and 283 passing yards and four passing touchdowns vs Arkansas Pine-Bluff ... Recorded four games with over 150 yards passing on the season ... Registered five games on the season with multiple touchdown passes or rushing touchdowns. Helped guide SU to a Bayou Classic win over Grambling State and SWAC Western Division Championship and a spot in the 2018 SWAC Championship Game.
Prior to SU
Redshirted his freshman season while attending Coffeyville Community College in Kansas. His redshirt freshman year he was a one-year letterman at Fullerton College (CA) JC … he threw for 1,048 yards and 9 touchdowns while rushing for 1,165 yards and 18 touchdowns in 13 games, helping Fullerton College to the CCCAA State Title and National Championship finishing the season 13-0 ... Skelton was named two-time Juco player of the week.
High School
Three-year letterman at Pine Bluff High School. Skelton led the Zebras to the Class 6A title game all three seasons, winning the last two and MVP of the championship game. He was named the 2016 Landers Award Winner and was a three-time All Conference selection and All State Team.
