Nick Williams enters his first season on the Bluff as Southern University’s run game coordinator, bringing NFL coaching experience and a strong background in offensive development to the Jaguar football program.

Williams joins Southern after spending three seasons with the Jacksonville Jaguars (2022-24) as an offensive quality control coach, where he worked closely with the offensive staff and assisted with offensive line responsibilities.

He began his NFL coaching career with the Philadelphia Eagles in (2018-2020) as a coaches’ assistant.

Prior to Philadelphia, Williams spent three seasons on the coaching staff at his alma mater, Humboldt State in Arcata, California. He began his coaching career as the running backs coach in 2015 before adding wide receivers to his responsibilities during the 2016 and 2017 seasons.

Williams was a standout wide receiver at Humboldt State from 2011-13 and was a member of the 2011 Great Northwest Athletic Conference championship team.

Williams brings a diverse coaching background and valuable experience at the professional and collegiate levels as he works to develop a physical and productive Jaguar rushing attack.
