Devin Neely enters his fourth season on staff at Southern University, bringing experience in player personnel, recruiting, defensive analysis, and collegiate athletics. A native of Boynton Beach, Florida, Neely has spent the past several years working within Southern’s football program, gaining experience across multiple areas of the organization.
Neely previously served as a Player Personnel Analyst at Southern University from 2023 through 2025, where he assisted with recruiting operations, player evaluations, roster management, and personnel-related duties.
In addition to his football responsibilities, Neely has gained experience through legal and professional opportunities. He served as a Student Attorney with the Southern University Law Center Legal Clinic, where he conducted legal research, drafted motions, and represented clients in court, including first-chairing a juvenile delinquency bench trial.
Neely earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Sports Management from Florida State University in 2020. He earned his Juris Doctor from Southern University Law Center in 2026, where he served as Vice President of the Sports Entertainment Law Association.
Neely brings a unique combination of experience in football operations, player personnel, recruiting, legal, and sports management to the Southern University football program.
