Wilhelm Allen Jr. serves as the Recruiting Coordinator, bringing a deep understanding of player development, recruiting, and championship culture shaped by his experiences as both a student-athlete and coach.

A native of Marrero, Louisiana, Allen graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School before continuing his academic and athletic career at Southern University, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in Political Science. Allen pitched more than 200 innings for the Jaguars from 2017–2021, contributing to SWAC conference championship teams in 2019 and 2021. He continued his playing career in the summer of 2021 with the Williamsport Crosscutters of the MLB Draft League, gaining experience at the professional development level.

Following his playing career, Allen began coaching at Southern University (2022–2024), working primarily with pitchers and helping guide the program to a conference championship appearance in 2022. In 2025, he served as an Assistant Coach at Florida A&M University, where the program achieved a conference championship appearance and set all-time program records for overall wins and conference wins.

Allen has also built an extensive summer-league coaching résumé, including stints with the Franklin Duelers (Ohio Valley Collegiate Summer League, 2022) as hitting coach, the Bowling Green Pistons (OVCSL, 2023) as head coach, the Corpus Christi Suns (Texas Coastal Collegiate Summer League, 2024) as co-manager, and the Dodge City A’s (Rocky Mountain Baseball League, 2025) as hitting coach. In 2025, he helped lead Dodge City to the National Baseball Congress World Series for the first time in seven years.

Off the field, Allen is an avid bass fisherman and golfer and is an active member of Community Church in Covington, Louisiana. He is the son of Pamela Allen and Wilhelm Allen Sr., and brother to Preston Allen. His coaching philosophy is grounded in faith and accountability, often guided by the reminder: “Remember whose you are and whom you serve.”
