Mykah Mares, a native of Houston, Texas, serves as the Director of Baseball Operations for Southern University Baseball, overseeing the program’s daily operations while also supporting its branding, marketing, and digital presence.

She began working with the program during the 2021 season, initially contributing through graphic design and marketing, and her role has continued to expand as the needs of the program have grown. In her current position, Mares plays a key role in coordinating logistics, managing operational workflows, and supporting student-athletes and staff, while also assisting with content planning, media coordination, and storytelling efforts that enhance the program’s visibility.

Her experience includes work across major events and platforms, including Bayou Classics, NCAA Championships, ESPN Black College Live projects, and a media relations internship with the Southwestern Athletic Conference, all of which inform her holistic, detail-oriented approach to baseball operations.
