BATON ROUGE, La. — Southern University volleyball has announced its 2026 schedule, featuring a challenging slate, with 10 matches inside the Horace W. Moody Intramural Sports Complex.
 
The Lady Jaguars will open the season with an exhibition match against Louisiana Tech on Saturday, Aug. 22, in Baton Rouge before officially beginning the regular season at the Gamecock Classic in Jacksonville, Alabama, on Aug. 28-29. Southern will face Jacksonville, Southern Miss and Jacksonville State during the tournament before returning home to host Southeastern Louisiana on Sept. 8.
 
Southern will then travel to Hattiesburg, Mississippi, for the Southern Miss Invitational, where the Lady Jaguars will compete against Lamar University, Houston Christian and Southern Miss on Sept. 11-12.
 
The Lady Jaguars will continue the non-conference portion of the schedule with a road match at SUNO on Sept. 15 before traveling to Tuscaloosa, Alabama, for the Crimson Classic. Southern will face Jacksonville State, Nicholls State and Alabama from Sept. 18-19.
 
The 2026 Southwestern Athletic Conference schedule begins on Friday, Sept. 25, when Southern hosts UAPB in Baton Rouge. The Lady Jaguars will also welcome Grambling State, Texas A&M-Corpus Christi, Alcorn State, Mississippi Valley State, Jackson State, Dillard and Texas Southern during the home portion of the schedule.
 
Southern will face Prairie View A&M, Texas Southern, Florida A&M, Bethune-Cookman, Alcorn State, UAPB, Grambling State, Alabama A&M and Alabama State on the road throughout the conference season.
 
The regular season concludes on Sunday, Nov. 15, at Alabama State in Montgomery, Alabama. The Lady Jaguars will then turn their attention to the 2026 SWAC Volleyball Championship, scheduled for Nov. 20-22 in Montgomery, Alabama.
