Ibrahim Places First, Jaguars Finish Second at National Women’s Collegiate Golf Championship

KATY, Tx. | The Southern University women's golf team placed second overall at the 2026 National Women's Collegiate Golf Championship, highlighted by an outstanding individual performance from Salma Ibrahim who finished first in the field.

Southern posted a three-round team total of 905 (300-306-299), to secure a second-place finish against a competitive national field.

Howard University claimed the team title with an 889, followed by Jackson State (920), Prairie View A&M (922), Alabama State (930), Texas Southern (936), Chicago State (962) and Delaware State (1038).

Ibrahim Sets the Tone
Ibrahim delivered one of the top performances of the tournament overall with a three-round score of 217 (71-72-74), to claim the top medalist.

Adjodha First Hole in One
Chloe Ajodha stole the show on Tuesday as she delivered her first hole-in-one on par 3 on the 12^th hole.

The Jaguars got another solid performance by Lauryn Leonard, who finished tied for 12th.
