Jaguars Places Seventh at Arcis HBCU Championship

WESTON, Fla. | The Southern University women's golf team opened its spring campaign over the weekend as the Jaguars finished seventh at the Arcis HBCU Championship at The Club of Weston Hills on Monday.

The Jaguars, carded a 827 to claim the seventh spot as North Carolina A&T won the event with a 786. Howard placed second, with a 790. Texas Southern shot a 799 to finish third, Alabama State 801 for fourth, Chicago State and Prairie View tied at 814 and Delaware State 909 rounded out the field.

Faith Ontune shot a 28-over-par 204 to finish tied for 19^th , Salma Ibrahim carded a 27-over 207 to finish tied for 24^th, while Lauryn Leonard was tied for 26^th at 208. Chloe Ajodha placed 34^th, with a 211, and Alyssa Rodriguez rounded out the scoring 35^th, with a 215.
