BATON ROUGE, La. — The Southern University volleyball team returns to H.W. Moody Intramural Sports Complex for its final two home matches of the season, hosting Texas Southern on Friday at 6 p.m. before welcoming Prairie View on Sunday at noon for Senior Day.

The Lady Jaguars look to close out their home schedule on a strong note as they prepare for two Southwestern Athletic Conference matchups against familiar opponents.

Southern is coming off a 3-0 loss to Alcorn State, as the Lady Jaguars struggled to find their rhythm offensively. Paulina Agudelo Marin led the team with six kills, while Norelle Battle added five. Alayah Wilson finished with three kills and a service ace, and Penina Vito directed the offense with 13 assists and two service aces.

Defensively, senior libero Najah Harris recorded a team-high 11 digs, while Reagan Robinson and Vito contributed six digs apiece.

Harris continues to establish herself as one of the nation's top defensive players. The senior ranks sixth nationally with 5.06 digs per set and 13th with 415 total digs. Her average of 5.06 digs per set currently ranks first in Southern's single-season program history, while her 415 total digs rank seventh in the record book.
