BATON ROUGE, LA -- Southern gets back into the winning column off a dominate third quarter, where they outscored Bethune-Cookman 23-8. Final score from the Mini Dome was 73-56.

HOW IT HAPPENED

- Jaguars went 24-of-57 shooting from the field (42.1 percent) and 4-of-18 from 3PT (22.2 percent).
- SU was led by Aniya Gourdine (7-16 FG, 2-5 3PT, 5-5 FT) finished the day with 21 points, along with eight boards, and six steals.
- Soniyah Reed (7-12 FG, 5-6 FT) picked up her career high 20 points, along with six rebounds. Tionna Lidge (5-9 FG, 3-4 FT) chipped inb 13 points, two boards and two steals.
- Eight Jaguars played scored in the contest with three finishing the night with double digits.
- BCU shot 18-of-43 from the field (41.9 percent) and 6-of-14 from 3PT (42.9 percent). 
- Southern pulled down 33 rebounds, including 22 on the defensive side of the glass.
- The Lady Wildcats registered 30 rebounds, with 22 coming on the defensive end. 
- The Jaguars also went 21-for-27 from the free-throw line. 
- The Lady Wildcats sank 14-of-30 from the charity stripe.
- Southern University finished the night with nineteen steals and sixteen assists.
- Bethune-Cookman University came away with twelve steals and thirteen assists.
