Southern Falls To Jackson State On The Road

JACKSON, MS -- The Jaguars got off to a slow start and was never able to recover giving Jackson State the edge to take out the Jags 33-15 in front of 32,027 fans at Veteran Memorial Stadium.

"It's very disappointing, I thought we had fixed the slow start," said Terrence Graves. "But apparently I didn't do a good enough job of getting us ready to go."

The Jaguars QB, Noah Bodden had a career night throwing for a game-high and season-high 352 off 17-29 passing and a 16-yard TD toss to Jermaine Minor Jr. The Jaguars never could get the running started like previous weeks, only carry the ball for fifty yards.

The Jaguars quarterbacks combined tossed the bak around to nine different receivers on the night led by Tyler KirkwoodDarren Morris and Chandler Whitfield

The Jaguars defense lived on the field most of the night due to some offensive struggles, but had some really bright spots led by safety Horacio Johnson with 14 tackles and two pass breakups. Junior All American Ckelby GivensDarrius Harry and Derrick Williams finished the night with seven tackles each. Williams added a tackle for a two-yard loss and Givens finished with two QB hurries.
