HOUSTON, TX – For the second straight year Southern University softball players was selected to participate at a high level in the Minority Softball Prospects HBCU All-Star Game.
Minority Softball Prospects is excited to announce our 2024 HBCU All-Star Game at Darryl & Lori Schroeder Park on the campus of University of Houston on May 31, 2024.
In 2023 Minority Softball Prospects was established to highlight 40 of the best HBCU softball players from D1, D2, and NAIA to showcase their skills. The All-Star game not only provides a national platform for HBCU softball exposure but it allows the ladies and their program's accomplishments to be celebrated.
Now Houston in 2024 our goal is to bring HBCU homecoming atmosphere to the ballpark.
Junior utility Alana Mark (second year) and sophomore outfielder Asia George was named to the 2024 HBCU All-Star team.
"I have been a fan of Alana Mark and Asia George for years! It's an honor to see them recognized on a bigger stage for all the hard work they put into their craft. I'm looking forward to seeing them showcase their talents and be a game changer for their team," said Brittany Williams, Southern Head Coach.
