• The Jags gave up five runs in the first two innings before taking control of the game in thew fourth and fifth inning to even the weekend series 1-1. 

• UAPB scored in five different innings but fell short to the Jags on day two.

•  Lasseigne picked up his fifth win of the season pitching five innings giving up seven runs off nine hits and striking out five Golden Lions batters. Huff picks up his first save of the season, pitching one inning to close out the game for the Jaguars.
   

INSIDE THE NUMBERS

• Both Southern and Arkansas Pine Bluff finished the day with fourteen hits each. 

• Both Southern and Arkansas Pine Bluff finished the night with three errors each.

• Southern left nine runners on base, while UAPB left seven.

• Southern finished the night with only four strike outs, while UAPB finished with nine.

• Rashard Grace scored the Jaguars first run of the day off a single to right field by KJ White.

• Eight different Jaguars batters recorded a hit on the night. Logan Sanders, Dylan Jones and Grace finished the day with three hits each, while Kameron Byrd, Tyeler Hawkins, Ryan Ollison, Marcus Sanders and White finished with one hit each.

The Jaguars will be back in action on Sunday afternoon against University of Arkansas Pine Bluff in game 3 of the weekend series. First pitch is slated at 1 PM.
