HOW IT HAPPENED
- SU got off to a fast start picking up 10 runs in the first four innings of the contest.
- Jags gave up double digit hits to the Tigers for the second time this weekend.
- Semien picked up his second win of the season, pitching 5.1 innings seeing 23 batters, giving up six runs off nine hits on the day.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS
- Southern finished the night with ten hits and GSU finished the night with twelve hits.
- Southern finished the game with two errors, while Grambling State finished the game with one error.
- Southern left seven runners on base, while GSU left ten.
- Southern struck out five times and Grambling State struck out fourteen times.
- Donny Sandifer picked up the Jags first run of the day off a single to right field by Jacoby Radcliffe.
- Seven different batters recorded a hit. Sandifer led the Jags with three hits each, while Radcliffe added two more hits on the day. Kameron Byrd, Tyeler Hawkins, Jalon Mack, Sadir Ryan and Ryan Ollison finish the day with one hit each.
