MONTGOMERY, AL -- Jaguars picks up season sweep over the Lady Hornets on Thursday evening led by fifth year seniors Genovea Johnson and Taylor Williams. Final from the Dunn-Oliver Acadome was 61-49.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Jaguars went 22-of-46 shooting from the field (47.8 percent) and 3-of-11 from 3PT (27.3 percent).
- SU was led by Johnson (5-9 FG, 4-8 FT) along with five boards and two assists.
- Williams (3-3 FG, 6-10 FT) chipped in twelve points in twenty-seven minutes of play. Kyanna Morgan (4-10 FG, 2-6 3PT) finished the night with ten points, while Aleighyah Fontenot (3-8 FG, 2-2 FT) and Raven White (4-5 FG, 1-3 FT) added nine points each.
- Eight Jaguars played scored in the contest with three finishing the night with double digits.
- ASU shot 16-of-47 from the field (34.0 percent) and 4-of-13 from 3PT (30.8 percent).
- Southern pulled down 32 rebounds, including 22 on the defensive side of the glass.
- The Lady Hornets registered 31 rebounds, with 21 coming on the defensive end.
- The Jaguars also went 14-for-25 from the free-throw line.
- The Lady Hornets sank 13-of-18 from the charity stripe.
- Southern University finished the night with nine steals and nine assists. Fleming had four assists on the night.
- Alabama State University came away with five steals and nine assists.

This will be back in action as they travel to Huntsville, Alabama to close out the regular season at Alabama A&M on Saturday afternoon. Tipoff is slated for 3 PM against the Lady Bulldogs on Saturday afternoon.
