• Southern picked up two runs in the first bottom of the first inning and Dillard answered back picking up two runs in the top of the second inning. 

• Southern pick up nine runs in the next four innings before Dillardf answered wioth three runs iof their own. over a period of three innings to take full control of the contest.

• Jerry Burkett II picked up his first win of the season. 

INSIDE THE NUMBERS

• Southern finished the day with eleven hits and Dillard finished with seven hits.

• SU finished with only one error, while DU finished with 2 errors.

• Southern left nine runners on base, while Dillard left seven.

• SU struck out seven times, while DU struck out thirteen times each.

• Logan Sanders picked up the Jags first run of the day, off an error by the Blue Devils catcher. Khyle Radcliffe finished the day with four hits, while Dominic Joseph finished the day with two hits. Marcus Sanders, Donny Sandifer, Tyeler Hawkins, Jacoby Radcliffe and Sanders finished with one run each.

• Seven different Jaguars batters recorded a hit. Radcliffe records a season-high four hits in a game.

UP NEXT
The Jaguars will be back in action this weekend in Thibodaux, La as they take on Nicholls on Friday (6 PM) and Saturday (6 PM) before heading back home on Sunday for a 3 PM first pitch against the the Colonels. The game on Sunday will be live on Jaguars Sports Network.
