Men's Golf Finished in Second Place at the Eastside Collegiate Invitational Golf Tournament

FRISCO, TX | Southern University Men's Golf team finished in second place at the Eastside Collegiate Invitational Golf Tournament, finishing with an overall team performance of 595 over the 36-hole rain-shortened tournament. Four Jaguars finished inside the top 10 individual leader-board.

The three-day (Nov. 2-4), 54-hole event at the Omni PGA Frisco Resort was shortened to 36 holes due to inclement weather. The Omni PGA Frisco Resort in Frisco, Texas is the home of the PGA of America with two 18-hole championship courses that will host the LPGA Championship in 2025 CVFV and the PGA Championship in 2027.

Southern Men's golf team performed well on this championship golf course, earning a second place finish.  The Jaguars will enter the spring with two team top-five finishes, one individual win, and five individual top-10 finishes by four players.

Jordan Williams led the Jaguars in the Eastside Collegiate, finishing the final round at -2 (70) and a T2 finish. Thomas Reid finished the tournament with a final round 3-under round of 69 and a third-place finish.

Michael Pimentel wrapped up the Eastside event in 7^th place to keep his streak of three consecutive under-par tournament rounds. Charles Watts made his third appearance in the starting lineup this weekend and put together scores of 79 in the first round and 74 in round 2 with a double-bogey on the final hole. Isaiah Gold finished the event with rounds of 79-81.
