JONESBORO, AR – The Southern University's women's soccer team continues their three-game road swing to open the season against Arkansas State University at noon at the A-State Soccer Complex.
The Lady Jaguars are coming off a 6-0 defeat to No. 20 Memphis on opening night. Twenty-three players saw action in the season opener.
Southern will be looking to put more pressure on offense as the Tigers held the ball for 68 percent of the game.
Alyssa Terry was the only Lady Jaguar to get a shot in the game when she sent one high from the top of the penalty box.
Sydney Bellamy had a strong showing against the 22 shots from Memphis. Bellamy finished the game with six saves.
Arkansas State took on No. 8 Arkansas to open the season on August 17, a 6-0 defeat. The Red Wolves finished the game with seven shots and 11 saves.
