BATON ROUGE, LA --The Jaguars leading tackler
Jalan Campbell and quarterback Harold Blood will join SU head coach Eric Dooley at SWAC Media Day next week when the one-day event is held in Birmingham, AL.
Fans can follow along on the SWAC Digital Network and ESPN+ as they will provide coverage throughout the day. Southern will also provide behind-the-scene coverage from media day on its official social media platforms.
Southwestern Athletic Conference Media Day is set to kick off July 25th. The one-day event will take place at the Sheraton Birmingham Hotel in Birmingham, AL. Players and coaches from all 12 schools are scheduled to meet with the media and discuss the upcoming season.
Campbell started all 12 games for the jaguars a year ago leading the defensive charge with 82 tackles, 14 tackles for loss and six sacks.
Blood is set to have a break out season for the jags, after having a back up role in 2022. He played in three games for the Jags totaling 260 yards of total offense and one touchdown.
SU officially reports for training camp on August 1. The Jaguars open their second season under Dooley on Saturday, September 2 when they face Alabama State in Montgomery, AL.
