BATON ROUGE, LA -- On Saturday evening Southerns' Camron Peterson hard work finally paid off when he got the call from the Baltimore Ravens to sign a Undrafted Free Agent deal with them. 

"First and foremost i give honor to God, to have a tremendous opportunity to represent my family and the school i love so dearly. I am humbled and extremely grateful. Thank you to the coaching staff, administration, and the community for all the love and support. I will continue to represent our university to the best of my ability", said Camron Peterson. 

"This is a very exciting time for Peterson and Southern University.  It's a great feeling for our coaching staff and team to see one of our own signed by a NFL team . This is great for our program moving forward", said Head Coach Eric Dooley.

During Cam career on the bluff he started in 17 games totaling 23 tackles with 3.5 sacks, 5.5 tackles for loss, two quarterback hurries, and 5 pass deflections

Jaguar Football has had 77 former student-athletes drafted to the NFL dating back to 1951. Ja'Tyre Carter was last Jaguar to be drafted as the 226 pick in the 2021 draft..
