Jaguars Battle Back To Win Weekend Series Over Texas Southern

HOW IT HAPPENED
  • Southern came out blazing Sunday afternoon hitting four home runs on the day.
  • TSU luck ran out only scoring two runs on the day.
  • Wilson pitched 5.2 innings seeing 23 batters and only giving up two runs off six hits.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS
  • Southern finished the night with eleven hits and TSU finished the night with seven hits.
  • Southern finished the game wit only one error, while Texas Southern finished the game with two errors.
  • Southern left three runners on base, while TSU left eleven.
  • Southern struck out nine times and Texas Southern struck six times.
  • Justin Wiley picked up the Jags first run of the day off O'Neill Burgos home run over the left field wall. Jah'li Hendricks and Wiley scored three runs for the Jaguars on the day, while Khyle Radcliffe and  Burgos scored two run each. Jaylen Armstrong, Jacoby Radcliffe and Hunter Tabb scored one run each.
  • Seven different Jaguars batters recorded a hit. Burgos, Hendricks, Radcliffe and Jonathan Evans led SU with two hits, while Armstrong, Tabb and Wiley finished the day with one hit each.
UP NEXT
The Jaguars will be back action on Tuesday evening against McNeese State at Joe Miller Ballpark. First pitch is slated for 6 PM.
