BATON ROUGE, LA. -- A heavy weight bout in the making for the 50th Bayou Classic in the Crescent City, where the Jaguars weathered storm to pick up their sixth win of the season by knocking off Grambling State 27-22 in front of 64,968 screaming fans in the Ceasars Superdome.
Interim head coach,
Terrence Graves became the first head coach in history of the Bayou Classic to lead both teams, Southern and Grambling to wins. "The 50th Bayou Classic was one for the ages. Our players showed a lot of intestinal fortitude. The coaches did a phenomenal job preparing our team, said Interim Head Coach

Kendric Rhymes scored his ninth touchdown of the season to lead the Jags rushing attack for the fifth straight game with 111 yards off 18 touches.
August Pitre III grabbed four receptions for 118-yards to lead the Jaguars in receiving. Freshman sensation Darren Morris scored his second touchdown of the season off a 8-yard strike from sophomore quarterback Noah Bodden.
