Southern Drops Close One To Jackson State

  INSIDE THE NUMBERS
- Jaguars went 20-of-63 shooting from the field (31.7 percent) and 9-of-16 from 3PT (56.3 percent).
- SU was led by Genovea Johnson (5-18 FG, 4-5 FT) finished with 14 points. Amani Mcwain (3-11 FG, 3-7 3PT)  and Diamond Hunter (3-8 FG, 3-5 3PT) added 9 points each on the night.
-  Raven White (3-5 Ft, 1-2 FT) chipped in seven point on the night for the Jags.
- Ten Jaguars scored in the contest
- JSU shot 22-of-45 from the field (48.9 percent) and 3-of-8 from 3PT (37.5 percent). 
- Southern pulled down 29 rebounds, including 16 on the defensive side of the glass.
- The Lady Tigers registered 39 rebounds, with 30 coming on the defensive end. 
- The Jaguars also went a season high 8-for-11 from the free-throw line.
- The Lady Tigers sank 17-of-29 from the charity stripe.
- Southern University finished the night with five steals and thirteen assists.
- Jackson State University came away with three steals and ten assists.

UP NEXT
Southern heads to the State of Alabama to take on Alabama A&M and Alabama State on Saturday afternoon and Monday night. On Saturday the Jagaurs and Bulldogs will tipoff at 3 PM and on Monday the Jaguars and Hornets will tipoff at 5:30 PM.
