Southern Falls to LSU

The Jags drop to 1-1 on the season. The Southern offense got off to a slow start in the first half, junior running back Jerodd Sims led the Jaguars offense with 83 yards and freshman Karl Ligon scored the only offensive touchdown on the night. 
 
Jakobi Jones led the SU defense with eight tackles, Jalan Campbell finished the night with six tackles, one tackle for a two-yard loss and one QB hurry and Benny McCray added six tackles and a 94-yard pick six.  The defense also recorded a two interceptions on the night.

UP NEXT
Southern will travel to Arlington, Texas take on Texas Southern Tigers in the Arlington Showdown. Kickoff is scheduled for 4 PM and will be broadcast on HBCU Go.
