The Jaguars put up six runs in the first two innings and another four runs in the fourth inning led by big bats by
Nathaniel Lai with two hits for the Jags.
The Jaguars picked up twelve runs off seven hits on the day. In the first inning
Jovante Dorris singled to left field to send Jaylen Armstrong racing across home plate to give the Jags their first run of the day. O'Neill Burgos singled to center field to send Dorrishome to give the Jags an early 2-0 lead. In the second inning Gustavo Nava Sanchez and Hunter Tabb scored off a throwing error by the Braves pitcher. Justin Wiley scored the Jags fifth run of the day off a sac-fly by Burgos. Armstrong scored on a wild pitch. In the fourth inning the Jags scored four more runs to give the Jags a 10-0 lead over the Braves. In the seventh inning the Jags had bases loaded when Hunter Tabb scored off a passed ball and Caleb Tart scored the winning run when Ryan Ollison was hit by a pitch.
Anthony Fidanza goes 5-5 on the season throwing 70 pitches with two strike outs and only giving up three hits and no runs on the day. The Jaguars scoring came from
Armstrong with three runs each and Tabb with two runs each. Tart, Wiley, Nava Sanchez, Rollon, Burgos, Dorris and Mack with one run each.
SU is 23-29, 20-9 SWAC on the season.

Southern will be back in action on Saturday afternoon for game two of the final home series of the season, as they take on Alcorn State University for a three game weekend series. The Jaguar will celebrate eight senior at 2:30 PM. First pitch is slated for 3 PM.
