PINE BLUFF, AR -- Southern University baseball started slow in the final game of the series falling behind early and never being able to recover dropping two-straight games to Arkansas Pine Bluff in front of 252 fans inside Torri Hunter Baseball Complex.

SU gave up five runs in the first two innings giving UAPB the edge early in the game.

The Jaguars picked up three runs off five hits on the day. In the third inning Quincy Smith II hits a double to left field to send Isaiah Adams and Justin Wiley racing across home plate to cut UAPB lead to 5-2. Later in the third inning O'Neill Burgos hits a Sac-Fly to left field sending Smith II home to give the Jags their final run of the day.

Mykel Page (0-3) picks up his third loss of the season. The Jaguars scoring came from Adams, Wiley and Smith II with one run each.

SU is 4-15 on the season.

Up Next
Southern will be back in action on Tuesday night as they travel to Starkville, MS to take on Mississippi State Bulldogs on Dudy Noble Field at Polk-Dement Stadium. First Pitch is slated for 6 PM.
