BATON ROUGE, LA -- Southern opened up its home opener in the SWAC / PAC-12 Legacy Series. The Jags falls to the Ducks 83-46 in front of 2,572 fans inside F. G. Clark Activity Center.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Southern started slow, before finding their footing and cutting into the Ducks first quarter lead 18-11, off Taylor Williams 15-foot jumper with four seconds left in the quarter.
- Amani Mcwain hits the Jags first three-pointer of the game to pull the Jags within one point, 6-5.
- Sirviva Legions hits a 12-foot jumper close out the first half to cut the Ducks lead to 14 point at the end of the first half, 38-24.
- The Ducks were too much for the Jaguars as Oregon pulled away for a 63-34 at the end of the third quarter.
- Stifling defense in the second half kept the Jaguars to only 22 points, as Oregon was too much for the Jaguars, sealing the 83-46 victory.

INSIDE THE NUMBERS
- Jaguars went 18-of-53 shooting from the field (34 percent) and 4-of-12 from 3PT (33.3 percent).
- SU was led by Aleighyah Fontenot (3-8 FG, 2-3 PT) and Raven White (3-5 FG, 2-7 3PT) who finished with 8 points respectively.
- Sirviva Legions (2-3 FG, 3-4 FT) and Taylor Williams (3-6 FG, 1-2 FT) finished the night with 7 points each.
- Nine Jaguars scored in the contest
- Oregon shot 29-of-56 from the field (51.8 percent) and 11-of-30 from 3PT (36.7 percent).
- Southern pulled down 23 rebounds, including 15 on the defensive side of the glass.
- Oregon registered 39 rebounds, with 25 coming on the defensive end.
- The Jaguars also went 6-for-10 from the free-throw line.
- The Ducks sank 14-of-23 from the charity stripe.
- Southern finished the night with ten assist and four steals.
- Oregon came away with eleven steals and twenty-one assists.
