BATON ROUGE, LA – The Southern University softball team, will play a total of 48 games during the months of February, March and April with 18 of the games being played here on campus at Lady Jaguar Field.
 
The Lady Jags opens the season at the Best of the Bayou Classic with games against Jacksonville State (Feb. 11), Syracuse (Feb. 11), Evansville (Feb. 12), Louisiana Tech (Feb. 13) and the tournament host Louisiana-Monroe (Feb. 13). SU then hosts the University of Southern Mississippi on February 16^th for a double-header and a couple of days later play host to Louisiana College February 18^th for a double-header. 
 
The Lady Jaguars head out to Jackson, Mississippi for the Capital City Invitational with games against Mississippi Valley (Feb. 25), Jackson State (Feb. 25), Tennessee Martin (Feb. 26) and Mississippi Valley (Feb. 26). They then turnaround and play host to Jackson State on March 2^nd for one game.
 
SU will travel to Lubbock, Texas for the Texas Tech Tournament with games against North Texas and Texas Tech March 5^th and March 6^th before heading to Thibodaux, Louisiana for a game against Nicholls State on March 9^th. They stay on the road for a trip to UAPB to open conference play (Mar. 11-12) then to McNeese State for one game (Mar. 16^th).  
 
The Lady Jags get back into SWAC play by hosting Grambling State (Mar. 18-19) and Texas Southern (Mar. 25-26). A trip to Lorman, Mississippi follows that with a series against Alcorn State (Apr. 1-2), before returning home for a series against Prairie View (Apr. 8-9).  
 
Lamar University hosts the Lady Jags for one game on April 12^th before continuing their road trip against Texas Southern (Apr. 15-16). Southeastern Louisiana comes to town for one game on April 19^th then back on the road for series against Grambling State (Apr. 22-23) and Xavier (Apr. 26) for a double-header. 
 
The final series of the season will be against UAPB April 30^th here on campus at Lady Jaguar Field.
