Southern adds trip to West Coast, as they will face Fresno State in 2025

BATON ROUGE, LA. -- Southern University Athletics announced on Tuesday that they will travel to face Fresno State for the first time in school history. The Jaguars and Bulldogs will kick off at Bulldog Stadium on September 13, 2025.; the first game for the Bulldogs all-time against an HBCU.

"This is an exciting time for Southern University and our football program," Director of Intercollegiate Athletics Roman Banks said. "When we recruit student-athletes to come to Southern we let them know they will have the opportunity to showcase their talents against some of the best competition in the country. 

The last time the Jaguars played in California was September 2, 1990 when they faced Howard University in the LA Memorial Coliseum.
