HOW IT HAPPENED
- Texas grabbed the lead early, plating two runs in the bottom of the first.
- SU threatened in the second, putting a couple of runners on base, but the Jaguars were turned away.
- In the second inning, the Longhorns increased their advantage to 6-0.
- Texas added one more run in the third.
- The Longhorns tacked on two more in the seventh, then rounded out the evening's scoring two more in the eighth.

Southern is set to face Fairfield in an elimination game on Saturday afternoon. First pitch is set for 1:00 pm and will be televised on ESPN3.
