Baton Rouge, LA. -- The Southern University Volleyball team defeated Texas Southern University in a thrilling conference matchup Sunday evening at Clifford Seymour Gymnasium.
The Lady Jaguars (5-5, 5-5 SWAC), last played a home match 33 days ago. Sunday night they returned with newfound energy that carried them over the Tigers (0-6, 0-6 SWAC) in five sets.

Princess Stark led the team with 35 assist and added 13 digs.
Imani Litz finished with team high 28 digs and two assist while
Jada Carter led SU with 11 kills, finished with 15 digs and two aces.
Holaimoana Johnson had nine kills and two aces.
Delaine Fulton added eight kills, three aces and two blocks.
Brook Jefferson finished with 10 digs and two aces.
SU finished with a total of 47 kills, 91 digs, 44 assists, nine service aces and six blocks.

The Lady Jaguars will be back in action on Monday night when they host Prairie View A&M on Senior night. First serve is set for 6:00 pm.
